Hua Hin, Thailand
November 21, 2013
These photos are from the first leg of one of the best and most humbling trips I’ve ever taken, from when I went to visit my best friend at the end of his study abroad experience. Definitely can’t wait to go back – and will post photos from Bangkok next week.
Disclaimer – the shots from the waterfalls were taken with a very basic a point-and-shoot and won’t blow up well.
Former Swiss Living
November 14, 2013
The cold always makes me super nostalgic for the sixth months I spent living in Geneva, Switzerland. I was cleaning up some folders on my computer and spent way too much time going through these… some had never been edited because they’re pretty much just snapshots. This is a pretty jumbled collection of photos that are simply personal to me rather than an expression of art.
Next Thursday I’ll start posting some new ones from Thailand!

Dubrovnik, Croatia 2012
October 17, 2013
Dubrovnik was a really cool city– I would say it had the most character of the three Croatian cities we visited. Walking the city walls was probably my favorite thing. The Old City is very small, and is completely contained within the city walls. Looking at these pictures kills me a little bit, just remembering how it felt to be surrounded by beauty all the time and probably not even appreciating it as much as I should have. This was the last leg of our Eastern European trip, which was part of my graduation gift from my mother– I had been in Geneva, Switzerland finishing up my bachelor’s degree in Photography for the past four months. My family came to watch me graduate in Geneva and then we decided to do some traveling further east. I absolutely must get back to Europe soon…

Hvar Island, Croatia
October 10, 2013
I’ve been sorting through photos from my travels to finally redo my website and found some photos from Europe that I never published. Will get the rest of them up week by week. I recently changed a lot of things in my life, and the short of it is that I have Thursdays “off” now. I’m keeping my Thursdays open for personal goals, growth, and marketing for Jennica Mae Photography. That being said, new blog posts every Thursday from now on. This will be my first #throwbackthursday post.
Anyways, Hvar Island was super gorgeous and was basically like one big resort. We ended up going there a day or two early from Split (about 1 hour away on the ferry) because we were highly unimpressed with both the city of Split and our accommodations. My mom booked a sort of “guesthouse” rather than a hotel and it was just super weird. We were basically staying in someone’s house with all their things and the vibes were just wrong. Also there wasn’t even enough hot water for a shower so that wasn’t happening. The city of Split itself was very understimulating and didn’t have much in the way of things to do. Hvar proved to be a much better choice.
